As oil and gas fields continue to age, operators and regulators in Texas are being faced with more Plugging and Abandonment liability and questions regarding changing regulations. Jay will discuss the current regulatory requirements for well plugging and abandonment in the State of Texas. He will also discuss the safest and most economic plugging procedures/techniques to best ensure the mechanical and environmental integrity of the plugged wellbore and discuss various wellbore dynamics affecting P&A work. Also, Jay will highlight the status of P&A work being done in Texas and the status of the State Funded P&A Program.
