YP: Volunteer Opportunity - Children's Book Sale Volunteers Needed!

Volunteer Opportunity Details:


SPE GCS YP and The Friends of the Houston Public Library are looking for volunteers for our 11th Annual Children's Book Sale. The Annual Children’s Book Sale will take place at Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church, 2025 West 11th in the Heights September 16th and 17th 2011.

Friends of the Houston Public Library is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1953 for the purpose of funding scholarships and special programs of the Houston Public Library. Held each spring, the Annual Bargain Book Sale is the organization’s major fundraiser and has grown into a three-day event. As many as 150,000 books have been available at a single sale. The Friends also host the Annual Children's Book Sale in the Fall. Preparing for both sales is a year-round activity.

Volunteers should be at least 15 years of age.
