Description

Yan Li’s talk will be a diversity talk on life growing up in China during the middle of the Cultural Revolution.  Yan taught herself high school material and entered the university after the Revolution.  She will speak on how she grew up during the difficult times in the Cultural Revolution and subsequently obtained three petroleum engineering degrees (B.S, M.S. and Ph.d).  She has been successful working for several U.S. companies during her career and is currently working for Shell International E&P. She will point out differences between working for a U.S. company and a Chinese company.

 

We highly recommend advance registration, as walk-ins are charged an additional $10.00 and are not guaranteed admittance to the lunch.
