The oil and gas industry has been employing directional driling for 35 years and hydraulic fracturing for 65 years.  The combination of the two in the Barnett Shale demonstrated to engineers that every known basin might be a candidate for horizontal wells with multiple stage fractures.

Richard Spears will show how the demand for horizontal drilling and fracturing jobs has grown in recent years and will present the firm's outlook for these markets through 2012, including a discussion of the frac horsepower bottleneck on US drilling activity.

Free parking for the Greenspoint Club is on the roof of the garage.  Please press the call button and tell security you are going to the Club and they will open the gate arm for you.
