Do you want to make an impact during the
Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2011 ?

The SPE Gulf Coast Section Young Professionals invites you to join us as we guide high school students through the 2011 OTC exhibits. We will pair you with 10-15 students and 1 chaperone. This is an opportunity to share your experience in the oil and gas industry while making an impact in the lives of high school students.

Complimentary conference badge and parking pass will be provided by OTC for your participation. (Free admission to the conference!)

A pre-set route will be put together for you.

Important Dates:

Friday, April 29thvolunteer training at Reliant Center 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
 Wednesday, May 4thStudent Tour of Exhibits in multiple locations at Reliant Park
 
Location:  Reliant Park, Houston Texas
 

Schedule on May 4th
8:20: Students load buses from their home school.
9:00-9:15: Check in, gather students, chaperones, and volunteers.
9:15-12:00: Students will tour the conference in small groups.
12:00-12:45: Buffet lunch
12:45-2:00: Group lecture
2:15-2:30: Students load buses and return to their home school.

Lunch:Buffet lunch for students, chaperones and volunteers will be provided by OTC

SPE Volunteer, IPAA Student Tour Responsibilities
Guide groups of 10-15 students through exhibits on May 4th 9:15 a.m. – Noon.
Come to OTC volunteer meeting on April 29that Reliant Center 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Pick up complimentary parking pass for Reliant Park for OTC show days
  • Pick up OTC conference badge
  • Receive volunteer instructions
Familiarize yourself with the conference exhibitors before touring the students.
