Girl Scout Day is an annual event hosted by the Society of Women Engineers, Rice Section. Rice engineering students and professional volunteers hold workshops for 100 young girls, ages 8-10. The workshops are designed to introduce the girls to different engineering fields, such as chemical, civil, electrical, and petroleum engineering. The event has gained a great reputation among the Girl Scout community and has been successful for several years. The event will take place at Rice University on January 29, 2011. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Reilly Bliton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
