Eugene Gholz will discuss how the sanctions are affecting Iran’s energy sector at a World Affairs Council luncheon.
 


An expert on the aerospace and defense industries, Eugene Gholz currently works in the Office of Industrial Policy at the Department of Defense. He is on leave from the University of Texas at Austin where he has been an associate professor of Public Affairs since 2005. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky's Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. Gholz has written extensively on innovation, business-government relations, defense management, and U.S. foreign military policy.
Gholz is a research associate at MIT's Security Studies Program, a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a member of the Board of Advisors at the Independent Institute's Center on Peace and Liberty. He earned a doctorate in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
