Lance's presentation will focus on Shell's view of the emerging energy future and the demands it places on our industry.  This demand forecast demonstrates the importance of Wells technology and innovation. Lance's presentation will highlight Drilling and related technologies and innovations that are paving the way to deliver the energy our expanding global economy will require.
This talk will discuss Shell’s bifurcated technology plan for wells development looking into the future.  The strategy is built around high end conventional work in deep water drilling, and a vision to dramatically lower costs on land wells.

Lance's 31-year career in the energy sector began as a petrophysical engineer in offshore Gulf of Mexico. He has held various positions in research and held several managerial positions including onshore division production engineer, onshore division drilling engineer, technical manager for West Texas Operations,  Eastern U.S. drilling superintendent, and well engineering skill manager.  Between  1998 he founded Enventure Global Technoloigies and was its CEO prior to returning to work for Shell. He currently is Shell's Vice President of Wells Technology Deployment and Technical Services.
