Description

The Shenzi Project lifecycle from discovery to first production was 76 months from sanction to first production 33.5 months. The project was delivered against agreed performance measures for time, capital cost and production.  The presentation will explore the strategies that enabled the project team to deliver this mega project to expectations in a continuously changing environment.

Chris Barnesby is currently Project Manager for the Angostura Gas Project located in Trinidad and Tobago. Prior to this she was Project Manager for the Shenzi Water Injection project, currently in execution, and was the Project Controls Manager for the Shenzi Development from concept identification through first production.  Chris is a Mechanical Engineer, with a Masters in Engineering from University of New South Wales in Australia and an MBA from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan.  Chris has been with BHP Billiton for 14 years working in several of the different customer sector groups, including Steel, Iron Ore and Petroleum
