SPE Members and Supporters:
As Chairman, and on behalf of the officers and committee members of the 2003 Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Section Tennis Tournament, it is my pleasure to offer you the opportunity to participate in the 20th Annual SPE Tennis Tournament. This year’s tournament will held at Giammalva Racquet Club on Friday and Saturday, October 17th & 18th, 2003.
100% of the net revenue from the tournament is used to supplement the SPE Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors interested in a career in the Oil and Gas Industry. We need your support, please. We raised over $10,000.00 in the 2002 tournament.
Activities begin Friday evening with registration at 4:00 pm, Social Mixed Doubles at 6:00 pm along with dinner. Registration will begin at 7:00 AM Saturday with play beginning at 8:00 AM. And for everyone and their significant others, the FUN Scrambles Tournament will begin in the afternoon. Saturday evening will consist of a wonderful dinner, door prizes, award ceremony, and music.
The deadline for tournament entry is Friday October 10, 2003. The application and sponsorship forms are included in the mailer. Please consider sponsoring this year’s event either by donations, door prizes or ditty bags items.
On behalf of the entire 2003 SPE Tennis Committee we look forward to seeing everyone for two fun-filled days of tennis.

The tournament and social doubles will be flighted. Tournament doubles are open to men, women, or mixed doubles. The committee will assist players who do not have a partner for any event. The Scramble Fun Match Saturday afternoon is for those not advancing to the playoffs in the Tournament Doubles and for any spouses, friends, or others who want to join in the fun. There is no fee for the fun match.
