Tom Alexander is currently the Completion Manager for Southwestern Energy's Fayetteville Shale project in north central Arkansas. He has been with Southwestern since 1998 having previously worked for several different operators in the US Midcontinent ranging from East Texas to the Rockies. He graduated from Wake Forest University earning a BA in Psychology and South Dakota School of Mines & Technology with a BS and an MS, both in mining engineering. He began his 28 year oil and gas career in the Gulf of Mexico as a petrophysical engineer with Schlumberger Offshore. The bulk of his subsequent experience has been in the specialties of completions and production evenly split between field operations and design. Tom has spent the last 15 years focused in the Arkoma Basin where Southwestern's shale project is located. He has been with the project since its inception and currently manages 400 to 500 horizontal completions per year.

Tom will be discussing the evolution of drilling and completion practices in Southwestern's Fayetteville Shale Project.
