Dan Pickering is the Co-President of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Securities, a 65 person Houston-based energy investment and merchant banking firm. As head of Securities, Dan has oversight responsibilities for a team of research analysts, equity salespeople, and traders involved in providing value-added, energy-oriented investment ideas to institutional money managers. Dan also sits on the investment committee of TPH’s private equity fund – TPH Partners. Prior to founding Pickering Energy (a predecessor of Tudor, Pickering, Holt), Dan was a Managing Director and Head of Research of Simmons & Company International. His initial Wall Street experience was with Fidelity Investments in Boston. Dan’s energy industry experience includes a stint with ARCO Alaska in Anchorage in various engineering and financial positions. He holds a Petroleum Engineering degree from the University of Missouri – Rolla and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Herod served as Executive Vice President – Corporate Development for 3TEC Energy Corporation from December 1999 until its merger with Plains Exploration & Production Company in June 2003 and as a director of 3TEC from July 1997 until January 2002. Mr. Herod served as the Treasurer of 3TEC from 1999 until 2001. Mr. Herod served as President and a director of Shore Oil Company from April 1992 until the merger of Shore with 3TEC on June 30, 1997. He joined Shore's predecessor as Controller in February 1991.
