Subject: Texas A&M SPE Sporting Clay Tournament Fundraising Event - Saturday, 13 October 2007
On behalf of the student chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers at Texas A&M University, we would like to invite you to participate in the 2007 SPE Sporting Clay Tournament Fundraising Event. The goal for this event is to raise enough money to send a representative group of juniors, seniors and graduate students in petroleum engineering to the annual SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition (ATCE) in Anaheim, California. The funds raised by this event will help cover transportation and lodging expenses.
The tournament will consist of 30 five-person teams made up of three industry representatives and two students. This event represents a tremendous opportunity for company representatives to meet the students of the department during the fall recruiting season — and for students to have interaction with working engineers outside of interviews and internships.
