My favorite college memory was that I enjoyed the challenge of an engineering education.  I learned many technical skills that I still use to this day. I am now a patent attorney and am a partner at Baker & McKenzie, LLP, one of the world's largest law firms.  The SPE scholarship helped me focus my college years on academics without having to take on additional part-time jobs.  I was fortunate enough to graduate debt-free from college and start my career with a clean slate. My advice to students is to study hard and don't be afraid to take challenging coursework that interests you.  Follow your interests at school.  They will lead you in the direction of your greatest happiness and most rewarding career.
