My favorite college memory is that I liked applying the knowledge gained in the classroom by doing hands-on exercises in the lab. I have been very fortunate in my career. I have held executive level positions at great engineering companies starting early in my career. I am also honored to currently serve on the board of directors for a public company, Cirrus Logic, and a private company, Asset Intertech. The SPE GCS scholarship helped my parents and me make the decision to attend my number one choice, Rice University. As a private school, Rice was considerably more expensive than the state schools I was also considering. My advice to students is that it is a global job market.
