Description

A proficient subsea project engineer, with a broad background and ability, having developed, installed and commissioned several deepwater riser, jumper spool and mooring-line instrumentation systems for the subsea industry. This resulted in numerous long-life systems successfully operating in West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.

Experience

• Lead project technical development, from contract award to final commissioning, of $1M - $5M electro-mechanical subsea systems,
• Ensure that deliverable meets client’s specifications and requirements and that procedures meet client and industry HSE standards
• Supervise, coordinate and mentor project team (Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineers, Designers, Drafters and Technicians)
• Develop, review and approve project documentation (design basis, drawings, design reports, I&C procedures, ITPs, document lists, TQs, NCRs, etc.)
• Review and approve design changes, components and materials
• Initiate technical optimization and improvement
• Evaluate project risks, develop mitigation plans and resolve technical issues
• Specify test procedures and verify test results
• Implement project quality control (QC), e.g., Welds, NDT, coatings, calibration, pressure testing, positive material identification and traceability
• Manage subcontractors worldwide to ensure interface compatibility, integrity, schedule and cost compliance
• Lead design reviews with EPICs and oil majors and represent BMT at project kick-off meetings, HAZIDs and HAZOPs
• Hands-on system SITs and Installation and Commissioning (GOM, West Africa and Asia), onshore and offshore
• Control costs and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget
• Develop project proposals, cost estimates and schedules
• Provide status reports and short & long-term projections to clients and internal senior management
