Description

Geologist with over 19 years experience. I am currently working in an advisory role for Macquarie in the upstream oil and gas banking industry until October 6, 2020. I have worked extensively in an A&D role looking at acquisitions in Permian, Mid-Continent, Rockies, among other basins. The bulk of my experience before was in the LA/TX Gulf Coast onshore. I have also worked MS, NLA, ETX and TX Panhandle. I have done both exploration and development utilizing 3D seismic and subsurface mapping/correlation.

Joint technical advisor responsible for providing geologic understanding, analysis and support to investment banking teams in the Macquarie Capital division as well as the debt side for the Commodities and Global Markets group. Prepare geological analyses and other technical marketing materials such as data room presentations and data room exhibits for upstream/midstream clients in oil and gas. Present and explain geologic portion of data room presentations as well as provide technical support. Responsible for developing, organizing and managing project technical files and displays. Assist in finalizing reserve evaluations from a risk management perspective and document both quantified and unquantified upside potential. Support the team in networking and business development.

Responsible for all geological and geophysical decisions in acquisition analysis; assisted in acquisition of northern Midland Basin (Wolfcamp/Spraberry) properties from Tall City Exploration/Element Petroleum ($1.16 billion), Clearfork waterflood from Juno Energy ($315 million) and East Texas Eaglebine properties from Sabalo Operating ($141 million); keep up to date on multiple lower 48 basins with regional studies and offset operator analysis; helped screen multiple opportunities across United States with geologic mapping, cross-section work and petrophysical analysis; function as information technology liaison for Blue Whale office; work closely with engineer, land staff and finance at Blue Whale, with operating team for above properties at Surge Energy, as well as technical team based in Beijing, China.

Functioned as part of the Business Development unit; assisted in multiple $600+ million acquisitions (Eagle Energy, Panther Energy); helped with transition of both Tulsa based companies and their people into Midstates by functioning as asset manager and geologist; screened numerous acquisition and deal opportunities in the lower 48 states; secured 300+ square miles of proprietary 3D seismic data over Mississippian Lime assets; performed field studies to aid in divestiture candidates; assisted in hiring geologists/geophysicists for both Houston and Tulsa based staff; standardized and brought forward for approval geological/geophysical software packages for use; worked closely with reservoir engineer, analysts, drilling engineers and land staff.

Generated prospects onshore Gulf Coast in the Hackberry and Yegua trends; responsible for field development at Gheens field in Lafourche Parish; communicated with various partners and consultants for Gulf Coast well programs; prospect screening and evaluation; geologic operations for S Louisiana wells.

Generated prospects onshore S Louisiana; assisted in discovery and development of new drilling at Bayou Postillion Field in Iberia Parish; responsible for drilling programs S Creole Field in Cameron Parish and at Stella Field in Plaquemines Parish; sold down internally generated prospects; prospect screening and evaluation; handled geologic operations for S Louisiana wells; worked in tandem with geophysicist generating on 3500+ square miles of 3D data.

Development of mature fields in the Gulf Coast; active drilling (infill and development of deeper reservoirs) program at Tom O’Connor Field in Refugio County, Old Ocean Field in Matagorda County, N Rucias Field in Brooks County as well as 11 more fields throughout SE Texas; propose drilling locations and behind-pipe/up-hole recompletions and workovers.
