Vahid Shabro is the Product Manager for GHG at ComboCurve with over 15 years of research and industry experience ranging from sustainability, decarbonization strategy and accounting, and risk management to project planning and execution in energy, high-tech, and software sectors. Before joining ComboCurve, Shabro was selected to start the Low Carbon & Sustainability team to transform BPX Energy into a low carbon energy producer within BP, where emissions were nearly halved within two years. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he is an Advisory Board Member at the Center for Subsurface Energy and the Environment.

Nathaniel Hartwig holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Louisiana State University and received his MBA in Strategic Leadership from Michigan State University.  After starting his career as a field engineer with ExxonMobil for 9 years, he moved to McKinsey & Company supporting Energy companies on Strategy and Operations around the world.  He joined Schlumberger in 2014 holding various Director, Vice President and General Manager positions in operations and strategy based in Houston, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He supported the corporate strategy creation for our current CEO leading sustainability and marketing.  


He is currently Director North America, Schlumberger New Energy, leading new energy solutions in North America.  Those include Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, GeoThermal,  Energy Storage, and Critical Minerals.   Nathan is currently on the Board of Directors at Pure Energy a low carbon Lithium company. 


Notably, Nathan recently gave a speech with the US Department of Energy Secretary Granholm announcing the Geothermal Earth Shot here in Houston.  Today he lives in Houston and is also an active triathlete.

Trina Engels is the Director of ESG for Talos Energy (NYSE:TALO) where she is leading sustainability initiatives, driving ESG communications and reporting efforts, carbon mapping, and shaping the company’s energy transition strategy. Prior to joining Talos she held the position of ESG Director for NewTech Global Environmental where she advised private equity and small to mid-size energy companies along their ESG journey, developed strategic sustainability plans, and conducted emissions studies.


With more the 24 years of experience in the energy industry, Engels has developed expertise working for both E&P and integrated companies such as Occidental Petroleum, Anadarko Petroleum, and ExxonMobil. Her previous roles include serving as Project Advancement and Planning Director, International and U.S. Commercial Engineering Advisor, Regulatory Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Corporate Strategic Planning Engineer, and various other engineering roles in both onshore shale and offshore conventional resource plays around the world. 


Engels holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and is a Harvard Business School alumnus through their Executive Education Program. She has been a long standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and evolved in numerous Gulf Coast Section committees over the years such as D&I, Scholarships, and Young Professionals.

Wendy Wilson is the Global Director of Sustainability at Weatherford International, and has held a variety of roles there, spanning more than a decade; including Geozone Operations, Global Manufacturing, internal Assurance, Enterprise Risk Management and now Sustainability.  Wendy has been a leader in the Oil & Gas QHSSE space for nearly 20 years, is a Power Engineer, holds an OHS designation with High Distinction from RMIT University in Melbourne, and is a Certified Sustainability Practitioner. She held a founding Board position with the Women in Occupational Health & Safety Society, and was a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering’s Sustainability Committee prior to relocating to Texas, nearly 5 years ago. Wendy is passionate about building the case for change, embedding risk control framework across ESG, advancing culture and DEI programming in organizations and considers herself to be a weekend warrior; always seeking the next forested hiking or biking adventure beyond the perimeter Houston’s concrete jungle.
