Since 2005, he has been a technical editor and associate editor for the SPE Reservoir Evaluation and Engineering and SPE Production Operations magazines.  Byron is a professional engineer in Texas and Alaska and has BS and MS degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas.
