Dr. Tom Blasingame is a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M from which he holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees.  He is also the current 2021 SPE President.

Blasingame has graduated 73 M.S., 35 M.Eng., and 16 Ph.D. students. He has prepared 170 technical+ articles and performed several major field studies involving geology, petrophysics, and engineering. 

Currently President of CMG Petroleum Consulting and Senior Technology Advisor for Petro.ai. Former 2016 SPE President, president of Gaffney Cline & Associates, senior executive at Baker Hughes, VP Engineering at Occidental, and General Manager for Union Pacific Resources. Dr. Meehan holds a BSc in Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University.

Currently President of Gibson Reports. David Gibson is a former engineer turned entrepreneur, and owner of Gibson Reports. Currently, David is well known as the host of the oil and gas industry's most popular live stream show, #Vdoorlocksmith. David is an active member of several professional associations such as IADD, SPE, AADE and IADC performing roles ranging from sub-committee chair to board of directors.

Melanie is a Managing Partner with CGL Recruiting. As an HR professional with over 25 years of experience, Melanie’s areas of expertise include HR consulting, talent management, strategic planning, developing human capital management systems, cross functional team building and coaching management teams at all levels within an organization. Melanie has a degree from UT in Applied Learning Development.

C. Susan Howes, PE, PHR, is VP Engineering at Subsurface Consultants & Associates, having previously worked for Anadarko and Chevron after receiving her BS PE from UT Austin.  Howes is an industry leader in talent attraction and development. Howes chairs the SPE US Advisory Council and is an SPE Honorary Member. Howes received the 2020 Woman of Excellence award from FHPW.
