How New Entrants are Driving the Haynesville Revival

Alan Smith has been in the oil and gas business for over 32 years and is currently the President and CEO of Rockcliff Energy, a privately-held independent oil and gas company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining Rockcliff, Smith held a number of executive roles at energy-focused investment companies including Quantum Resources Management, Quantum Energy Partners, and Chalker Energy Partners. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Frank Tsuru currently serves as President and CEO of Indigo Natural Resources and co-founder and CEO of Momentum Midstream. As a petroleum engineering graduate from University of Kansas, he started his career with TXO Production before running Red Cedar Gathering and Aka Energy.  Tsuru is actively involved with philanthropic organizations including Yellowstone Academy, the Star of Hope Mission, Boy Scouts of America and Family Legacy Missions International.

Preston Phillips is responsible for Aethon’s acquisition and divestiture processes and commercial activities including midstream and marketing.  Previously, he led efforts to develop a greenfield refinery project and a joint development study of oil fields in the Middle East.  Prior to joining Aethon, Phillips worked for Sevin Rosen Funds and Texas Instruments. Phillips graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and earned his Master's in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
