Integrated Data Analytics for Operations and Production

Dr. Sathish Sankaran has over 17 years diversified industry experience in consulting, technology development, project execution and management working on several international, deepwater and US onshore projects. His areas of specialization include integrated reservoir management, digital oilfield technologies, field development optimization, uncertainty analysis, production operations and advanced process automation.

He has authored several technical papers on these subjects and has also served as the session chair for the Data Analytics sessions in URTeC and Digital Energy conferences. He currently serves as the Chair of the Digital Oilfield and Data Analytics section of the SPE Reservoir Description and Dynamics Advisory Committee.

At Anadarko, he has worked on various aspects of reservoir engineering for conventional and unconventional reservoirs. His current job responsibilities include managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team within Advanced Analytics and Emerging Technologies (AAET) group in Anadarko. He also serves as the senior technical advisor to the company’s digital oilfield program, called IPSO.

Dr. Reza Rastegar is the Director of Analytics and Data Science at OXY. Prior to joining OXY, he worked as a senior consultant at Halliburton and an engineering manager with National Oilwell Varco. He has also spent several years in the Tech industry working on video and signal processing applications. Reza hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics, MS in Mathematics, MS in Artificial Intelligence, and BE in Software and Electrical Engineering.
