Scott Kimbleton is an Associate Partner in IBM’s Cognitive Business Solution’s team. He has 15 yrs experience delivering Cognitive and Analytics solutions, the last 6 of which have been focused on chemicals & petroleum. Scott is a contributor to IBM’s Institute for Business Value (IBV) Oil & Gas Cognitive Point of View, speaker at Petroleum Networking Education Conferences (PNEC), contributor to IBM Redbooks© and author of multiple white papers on data management for Big Data. Scott's responsibilities today include cognitive enablement for our key clients and IBM industry teams. Most recently, Scott lead our Engineering in the Cognitive Era client workshops at IBM's World of Watson event.

John R. Matson, a petroleum engineer has nearly 40 years of experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas business with a diverse background in operations, strategy, technology, engineering and investor relations. He has demonstrated strong leadership, managerial, interpersonal and consulting skills for successful development and implementation of strategy, process and organizational improvements for enhanced P&L. John has spent over 10 years in various consulting roles providing valuable business insights on how to improve business performance and increase profitability after spending more than 29 years working in progressively more senior operational and managerial roles with Mobil, Aera, Halliburton and most recently Berry Petroleum Company. He has worked with companies in management, operational and consulting roles globally (Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, Central America, Canada and the United States). John has represented IBM globally and worked with research and technology to develop solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry.
