Research & Development: Put an END to Desalination Challenges

Nick Tillmann is Director of Client Acceleration for the Energy Sector at the Houston Technology Center.   Named by Forbes' as one of "Ten Technology Incubators Changing the World," the Houston Technology Center provides education, insight, and access to capital that entrepreneurs need to move towards the path to commercialization.  Mr. Tillmann is a seasoned energy executive whose experience includes more than 25 years with ConocoPhillips. He managed the company's $500 MM global petroleum coke business, led strategy management for European businesses and started the company's operations in Poland. Other roles included international crude oil supply operations, lubricants and the commercialization of technology-based products such as flow improvers, advanced separation systems and carbon products. Nick has lived and worked in Austria, Ireland, Poland, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom and has led business development projects in the US, Europe, South America and the Middle East. He speaks German and Polish, and has a working knowledge of Czech and Spanish. Nick has served as Chairman of the Biofuels Taskforce for the Greater Houston Partnership, and is a Director with Silver Fox Advisors. 

Bill Capdevielle is an oil & gas consultant with over 40 years experience. He has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1971, and a MS in Systems Management from University of Southern California in 1975. 

Bill has diverse experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry.  His experience includes various technical, management and operations assignments.  Bill has spent the last 10 years working in the Facility Operability area.

He retired from Mobil in 2000 and from Hess in 2014.  Bill specializes in finding nanotechnologies used in other industries and applying them to the Upstream O&G industry.  Bill sits on the Board of Advisors for a start-up nanotechnology company, Magna Imperio Systems Corporation, and offers consulting in field development planning, facility operability, and project support.

Bill is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Louisiana.  He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineering, the Texas Professional Engineering Society, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
