Biography
Swathika Jayakumar is Regional Engineering Advisor with Core Laboratories (ProTechnics). She partners with oil and gas operators to address tough challenges and optimize field development strategies. Her expertise ranges from completions, reservoir and enhanced oil recovery projects’ optimization, both onshore and offshore. She joined Core Lab in 2014, after 3 years with Baker Hughes as a conformance control engineer, focusing on developing polymer gel treatments to control excess water production. She has authored several technical papers on her areas of expertise. She is an active member of the SPE – Gulf Coast Section and has held various positions with the Reservoir Study Group. She has a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Anna University, India.
