Biography

Simeon is a Petroleum Engineer with Chevron Corporation based in Houston, TX. He currently works in Chevron’s Africa and Latin America Exploration and Production Company on the Frontier Exploration and Appraisal Team.

 

Previously, Simeon worked in Chevron’s San Juaquin Valley Business Unit as a Production Operations Supervisor of the Cymric/McKittrick fields in California. Prior to that role, he worked in Chevron’s Deepwater (Gulf of Mexico) Exploration and Projects Business Unit as a Decision and Economic Analysis Advisor. Simeon worked in Chevron’s Energy Technology Company (ETC) Shale Unit as a Reservoir and Simulation Engineer and provided support and expertise to Chevron’s Unconventional and Shale Assets worldwide. Prior to ETC, Simeon worked in Chevron’s Mid-Continent Business Unit as a Reservoir Engineer for Haynesville Shale and as Production Engineer for Oklahoma.

 

In 2011, Simeon joined the Society of Petroleum Engineers - Gulf Coast Section (SPE-GCS) Young Professionals Board as Emerging Engineers Conference Co-Chair. In 2013, he served on the SPE-GCS Board of Directors (BoD) as SPE-GCS Young Professionals Chair. In 2014 Simeon was recognized as the SPE Houston Young Engineer of the Year. In 2015, Simeon served on the SPE-GCS BoD as Education Committee Chair. In 2018 he served as SPE-GCS BoD Secretary and as SPE-GCS BoD Vice Chair the following year. He is currently serving as SPE-GCS BoD Chair.
