My favorite college memory was the hands-on labs in Unit Operations. I was a Process Engineer for 3 years, a Production Superintendent for 5 years, an Operations Manager for 5 years and a Plant Manager for 9 years. I self-financed a large portion of my college education. The SPE-GCS scholarship allowed me to focus on class work during the school year. My advice to current students is that engineering/technical degrees lead to challenging careers that are always in demand and add value to our society.
