Delivered Topsides Processing design requirements for deep water projects worldwide, while incorporating Flow Assurance and Chemical System needs. Supported operational improvement projects for facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.
• Achieved 95% uptime and increased oil production by 20k bbl/d by implementing operational and hardware improvements within Mars TLP Waterflood System.
• Managed and guided EPC contractor activity that verified robust Topsides Process Design and sound Process Safety approach for BC-10 FPSO with project cost estimated at $5B and with design for 100k bbl/d of oil and 50 MMSCFD of gas.
• Devised conceptual Topsides Processing Design for the BS-4 host by applying emerging technologies in deep water heavy oil processing.

Senior Process Engineer (Chemical Plant Operations), Norco, LA 1997 to 2004
Supported Olefin Unit operations and major projects as Member of Process Engineering team. Performed detailed process design and modeling activities through unit design, commissioning, start-up, and post start-up support activities. Promoted in place twice. Total Chemical Plant Production produced 3.4 Blb / yr of Ethylene at $785M / yr and 1.7Blb / yr of Propylene at $350M / yr on average.
• Increased the Norco Site Ethylene and Propylene production by over 902 MMlb / yr valued at $205M / yr by delivering OP-1 Unit process design calculations and simulation models, performing technical assurance on OP-1 process equipment, training operations teams prior to startup, and serving as shift lead Process Engineer during initial OP-1 Unit commissioning and startup, while managing capital investment of $160M. Earned Shell Special Recognition Award.
• Drove efforts to update and clarify OP-1 Operations Manuals, incorporating lessons learned from prior unit shutdowns and restarts, saving time, and preventing excessive production loss and environmental exposure.
• Provided troubleshooting and technical support for day-to-day operations of the GO-1, OP-1, and OL-5 Olefins units, serving as location Process Engineer on various safety, environmental, and operational improvement projects.
