Executed ERD mechanical completions from artificial islands in Upper Zakum Field, delivering 37 days wellsite supervision with 0-safety incidents.

  • Prepared lower completion procedure for UZ-500, 28K ft well with 19K ft horizontal lateral (UAE record), adding 11K BOPD.
  • Developed completion concepts and stim designs for UDR-8, proposed 46K ft well with 32K ft lateral (world record). Supported management decision moving well to jack-up rig line.

Head Production Engineering - Surveillance / Wellwork Advisor, RasGas, Doha, Qatar 2005 – 2014

Supervised diverse multicultural team of Nationals, direct hires, secondees, and consultants in North Field. Created production engineering programs for offshore new well completions. Generated offshore / onshore rigless wellwork procedures for active Surveillance Program (mechanical wireline, electric line, WR-SCSSVs, stimulations, and coiled tubing).

  • Composed perf-stim-test-log-sample programs for NFE-2 appraisal well, setting North Field record for most DSTs. Received Shukran Award for outstanding performance.
  • Collaborated with technology groups, shareholders, and vendors on technical studies and special projects for corrosion, scale, water surveillance, water shut-off and downhole barriers, ensuring long-term well integrity and deliverability, while minimizing intervention risk.
  • Provided wellsite supervision for large, high rate, multistage acid stimulations, ensuring proper quality control and execution.
  • Developed rigless tubing hanger-repair procedure (North Field 1st) for NFR 1-1, fixing systemic equipment failure and impacting 15 wells (1.2 BCFPD) potentially.
  • Prepared procedure and provided wellsite supervision for Team’s 1st horizontal coiled-tubing acid stim, maintaining 10K BWPD injection. Job pumped safely within schedule & budget, receiving Shukran Award.
  • Served as co-leader for Rigless Recompletion Study, utilizing test vessel for well cleanup (North Field 1st). Technique approved by Management, saving $5M / well (48 well potential).
  • Led investigation of wireline mast failure, providing wellsite supervision, safely lowering damaged mast and restoring 150 MMCFPD. Influenced vendors on equipment modifications, process improvements, and safety features, prompting release of technical alert to industry.
  • Managed contract non-conformance and annual budget processes for Wellwork Team, driving safety and Program improvements, receiving Shukran Award.
