Entry level, Internship and co-op: Petroleum Engineer - Uche Ohafia

Description

My academic background which includes a B.Sc. in chemical engineering and an ongoing M.Sc. in petroleum engineering provide me with the fundamental knowledge required to fill this position. Furthermore, I have about three (3) years’ experience in oil & gas production and distribution, manufacturing, and refining industries through internships and full-time employment. This has afforded me hands-on technical competence in reservoir engineering, drilling engineering, production engineering, reliability engineering, maintenance, world class manufacturing, QA/QC, research and development, and more.

I have also developed structures and procedures required to conduct independent and group research. My R&D experiences are highlighted on my resume. A few of them include:

  • Buckley-Leverett Equation of Shear Thinning Fluids Involving Adsorption and Tracer,
  • Collaborated in a specialized research team that resolved and supervised the implementation of the solution for congealment of a plant’s produced vegetable oil.

In addition to my engineering competence, I have also developed programming, data management, and more computing skills. My leadership roles and senior level positions like SPE student chapter event coordinator (UNILAG) and reliability engineer have harnessed my teamwork and leadership skills. I have also delivered quality work throughout my life which has resulted in honors, and credits highlighted in my resume and recommendations.

I will be delighted to tell you more about myself and my abilities via an interview.

Sincerely,

Uche Uche Ohafia Jr.
