Completions Engineer – Major Capital Projects - Southern Africa 2014-2015
Collaborated with facilities, operations, sub-surface and FEED contractor teams on developing, optimizing and guiding decisions development alternatives for large scale projects. Conducted cost estimations and calculations to ensure overall success.
• Slashed completion costs by 77% ($200MM) on a major capital project.
• Cut planning-phase lower completions cost estimates by 40% or $7MM per well on a pilot project.

Completions & Workover Engineer – Permian Basin 2011-2014
Planned, budgeted and monitored well work projects covering four fields: unconventional Wolfcamp wells and legacy conventional oil production wells as well as CO2 and water injection wells. Partnered with production, geology, facilities, operations and service partners on optimizing, finalizing and executing plans for major capital projects. Planned, budgeted and monitored execution phase of completions.
• Decreased costs by eliminating five annual operations. Reduced overall well costs by 15% by identifying root causes/solutions to failures.
• Reduced cycle time in factory wells by 22% through standardization, optimization and L6S.
• Achieved two-year incident-free safety/environmental record in two years of operational oversight.

Rockies Drilling Technical Team Leader - Well Construction, Unconventionals 2011
Identified, documented, and marketed cross-service, integrated drilling solutions for unconventional plays including Niobrara, Atlas/Silo and Bakken/Three Forks.
• Tripled NPV of customer Niobrara wells by enabling double lateral lengths with ERD techniques.
• Reduced customer AFEs by 30% through eliminating intermediate 7” casing section in horizontal wells.

Halliburton Account Leader – Sichuan, China IOCs 2009-2011
Managed bids, bid strategy, responses and negotiations. Integrated solutions in tight gas and shale gas reservoir applications across all technologies and service lines. Provided senior leadership at remote office and developed teams through ongoing training opportunities. Managed/negotiated amendments and extensions for $25MM+ worth of contracts.
