Bus. Devt: An Overview of Oil & Gas Operations in Wyoming
Please join the SPE Business Development Group for a presentation by Hilcorp Energy’s Senior Vice President for the Lower 48 West to discuss the oil and gas industry in Wyoming. While known for its prolific coal resources, the state also produces over 200,000 b/d of crude oil and 4.4 bcfd of natural gas – making it a top 10 petroleum producer in the United States today.
Hilcorp has been active in Wyoming since its 2005 acquisition of Kerr-McGee’s Powder River Basin assets. Mr. Wilbanks will speak about the opportunities and challenges of operating in the state including:
- Current producing areas and avenues to grow production
- Existing infrastructures and potential transport challenges
- Overall operating environment and future opportunities
