I have 10 years cognate working experience in the oil and gas industry as an operations, process, flow assurance and cost engineer. I have 5 years experience in academia as teacher, lecturer, short courses trainer, lab technologist and researcher; 1 year in manufacturing as production operator and stock controller; 4 years in private practice as a research consultant and business development executive. Much of my career has involved operations excellence, stock control, maintenance management, report and proposal writing, team building and supervision, public speaking, training of new personnel and business development.
I hold a masters degree in Petroleum and Environmental Technology, a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, and I am rounding up a PhD in Energy (Flow Assurance Engineering). I have completed a number of professional short courses and belong to several international professional societies, where I volunteer in events management and community service. I am proficient in Multiflash, FloWax, LedaFlow, GAP, RESOLVE, PVTp and Maximus for flow assurance modelling; GNOME, ADIOS and WebGNOME for oil spill modelling, Microsoft Office Suite, SPSS and Petro-SIM process optimisation software packages. I presently have over 30 technical papers to my credit, with more accepted for publication.
