Description

To Whom It May Concern,

I am a 27 year Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Missouri-Rolla seeking employment with your company to use my vast knowledge and experience.  For the first part of my career I worked on the services side with Halliburton Energy Services.  They trained me in all aspects of well servicing; cementing, wireline, slick line, tools and testing, coiled tubing and most extensively in stimulation.  I spent most of the time chasing a frac crew around Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and Arkansas.  As the lead field engineer in the area I oversaw the startup of a new frac crew, the QA/QC of frac fluids before, during and after the job, the running the frac jobs and providing real-time, and post job, FracPro analysis of the frac.

17 years ago I made a change to put myself on the other side of the desk working for the very same people that were my customers while at Halliburton.  I was hired by Apache Corporation in October of 2004 because they saw what an exceptional frac engineer I was and they wanted to make me a Production/Completion Engineer.  It was a great fit because they learned from me about frac’ing and I learned production engineering from them.

After approximately a year and a half, I wanted something more.  That need for more responsibility, and a friend, led me to SM Energy, formerly known as St. Mary Land & Exploration.  With SM Energy I was on the Production/Completion Engineering side of gas wells in Oklahoma for 2-1/2 years, and for another 5 years I was Drilling and Completing extended reach horizontal Bakken wells in North Dakota and drilled the first Niobrara wells for the company in Wyoming.

I also have 12 months of international leadership experience with Santos Ltd. in Adelaide, South Australia.   I was part of the technology transfer on how to drill and complete unconventional oil and gas wells, with both stacked pay and horizontal configurations.  I led a small international team of engineers to drill and complete some of the deepest, longest, hottest and highest pressured wells in their history.

Unfortunately, Australia was just too far away from home for my family, so we decided to move to Houston where I joined Eagle Rock Energy as a Senior Staff Production Engineer.  After 4 months with them I was promoted to Engineering Manager.  Then about a year after joining EROC, Vanguard Natural Resources acquired them and so I went to work for VNR.  First as a Senior Operations Engineer, then ultimately to Drilling Manager.

I left to pursue a role in Casper, Wyoming working for one of the oldest, and most respected, family businesses in Oil & Gas.  I was the Production Superintendent for True Oil LLC, in charge of all of the production for the Powder River Basin properties in Northeast Wyoming (Approximately 2,000 BOPD, 2,300 MCFD, and 20,000 BWPD).

Most recently I was the leader of a start-up geothermal drilling team that was in pursuit of accessing supercritical steam for energy and green fuel production.

Please feel free to contact me at any time via email or by phone.

Sincerely,
