EDUCATION:

  • Willowridge High School - 1992
  • Texas A&M University - College Station, BS in Electrical Engineering

My favorite college memory is writing a thesis on Reflectography to measure epitaxial deposits on wafer. I started as a test engineer writing test programs to test semiconductor chips. I was a key member in a team that developed strip testing in semiconductor manufacturing. I eventually moved into semiconductor equipment automation and settled into IT for the past 10 years. The SPE-GCS scholarship obviously helped with my financial situation during my first few years in college. It indirectly led me to where I am now, but no direct contribution as I switched to Electrical Engineering from Chemical Engineering during my 3rd year in college. My general advice to students is to pursue a degree that aligns with your strengths. If you work on something you enjoy, you will not view your job as work but as a passion thereby leading to success.
