VERTICALLY INTEGRATED COMPANIES: FROM PROSPECT TO PIPELINE

VERTICAL BUSINESS INTEGRATION…..Business school buzzwords, or sound business strategy?  How does it work?  What are the potential synergies?  What are the risks?  AT&T, Standard Oil Trust …. Weren’t these big vertically integrated companies?  Where does the line get drawn?

Our May speakers will discuss how their E & P companies operate, and are managed in close business proximity to other related corporate subsidiaries.  Besides providing an overview of their own E & P and M & A & D activities, they will discuss how their strategies integrate, or support their related companies.  What efficiencies exist from shared services, corporate financing, shared professional staffs, “load balancing”?  How do they manage shared customer relationships?  Does vertical integration help or hurt M&A&D activities?  What about the tax return?  Government regulation?  Does the relationship stabilize the corporate stock price?

We welcome you to join us for this thought-provoking program, as well as the fellowship and networking of the popular Social Hour at 5:30 pm.
