TSPE Leadership Series - Co-Sponsored with HESS, TSPE, ASIE, ASCE, ASME, SAME, SWE

"The Perils of Electronic Communications:
This program will explore the ins and outs of e-mail and other forms of electronic communications, how engineers should properly use e-mail to minimize liability, how the increasing use of e-mail creates liability and operations problems for engineering firms. The program also addresses how the courts deal with the issue of electronic communications in the context of litigation and discovery. Finally, but most interestingly, the program will include many famous and infamous e-mails which have resulted in liability for their senders."
This program meets the one hour requirement that the Texas Board of Professional Engineers has for Ethics continuing education.

The Leadership Series Forums are co-sponsored by ASCE, ASIE, ASME, HESS, SAME, SPE-GCS, SWE, and TSPE. Their aim is to provide professional development and career management assistance to engineers in all fields, to encourage networtking and provide services at reasonable prices. Consequently, the forums include a networking and registration period from 5:30 - 6:00 and a one-hour seminar from 6:00 to 7:00.  The $25 fees cover expenses and include light snacks and a free drink ticket.
