Facilities and Construction Committee--Technical and Logistical Challenges for the Mars Recovery Project

The Mars Recovery Project was formed immediately after the damage from hurricane Katrina to the Mars TLP platform was discovered. The team faced many technical and logistical challenges during the recovery effort including: the quick mobilization of heavy lift vessel and flotel; fast and reliable marine and topsides engineering; expedited equipment replacements; and effective Personnel On Board management. The project team was also challenged to incorporate the near term projects that were scheduled for the TLP prior to the hurricane. This presentation will discuss these challenges and the team’s efforts to meet them.

We encourage your to pre-register for this event.  Member and non-member walk-ins will be charged $40 at the door.
