LNG: The Future of Natural Gas

LNG: The Future of Gas

Is the world running low on natural gas supply? Will there be enough energy for generations to come? These are questions that many people often ask. Yet, did you know that natural gas is the world’s fastest-growing source of energy?

Natural gas supplies are plentiful worldwide, but the largest resources are generally located far from the markets that need them. Luckily, recent advances in technology allow us to handle these resources by super-cooling and liquefying, then shipping in massive, thermos-like tankers to a wide variety of markets worldwide. Once tankers reach their final destination, liquefied natural gas (LNG) can be regassified and shipped to consumers via traditional pipelines.

LNG will play a critical role in meeting the world’s future energy needs. This presentation will outline LNG’s significance, discuss the regulatory environment required for success and highlight the outstanding safety performance of the industry.
