ELP 2006 Annual Emerging Engineers Conference (EEC)

Mark your calendars for the Gulf Coast Emerging Leaders Program’s second annual Emerging Engineers Conference.  The conference will be held March 30 – 31st at the Anadarko Tower located in The Woodlands, Texas.  This two day event is meant to provide a forum for young energy professionals to explore topics that will shape and develop their careers.  The EEC aims to expose an estimated 100 young petroleum engineers to various skills and ideas that will be needed to thrive in the energy industry. Focus will range from commercial and technical skills to networking with other industry professionals.  The conference will build on previous success by offering attendees seminars, activities, and presentations focused on the following themes:

• Negotiation Skills
• Technical Skills
• Emerging Technology
• International Opportunities for young engineering professionals


A diverse group of speakers, comprised of technical and commercial leaders, will discuss topics that will have an impact on the next generation of energy leaders. Feature speakers include:
- James Hackett, CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation
- Rich Kruger, VP of ExxonMobil Production Company
- Nigel Hopkins, Senior VP of Occidental Development
- John Hodgin, President of Ryder Scott Company

The conference includes optional networking events including an evening social and afternoon golf tournament to be held on Friday March 31st at The Oaks Course in The Woodlands.  When registering for the EEC please select if you wish to participate in the golf tournament.
