Webinar: High Fidelity Modelling Capabilities in NREL for Wind Energy
The simulation for wind farms ranges in model fidelity depending on project’s needs. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has developed various open-source tools from low fidelity modeling for quick upfront studies, to medium fidelity modeling for design purposes, and high-fidelity modeling (CFD) for understanding the science behind wind in wind farms. The talk with present a quick introduction to NREL and focus on NREL’s work in the high-fidelity modeling in the wind energy sector.
