Story Telling to Motivate
Getting someone to do something is not as difficult as it sounds!
Communication is a shared process between speaker and listener. This workshop, designed for oil and gas professionals, offers tips and techniques on ways to help workers reach goals, perform tasks, take risks, improve attitudes, and work more efficiently and energetically through the medium of telling stories.
The session will be divided into two parts, the first devoted to:· understanding what stories are.
· what they can do.
· how they affect and influence people.
· how to build them.
· how to tell them.
and the second to applying what’s been leaned. Attendees will:
· write their own stories.
· practice telling them one-on-one or to small groups.
· perform them “in public” for comment and review.
By session’s end, everyone will be a master storyteller who can get anyone to do anything!
