Westside WEBINAR: Perforating Trends, Technology, and Evaluation in North America

This presentation will provide insights into recent trends in perforating horizontal wells. Market research has shown an increase in the use of consistent-hole shaped charges versus conventional shaped charges, such as deep-penetrating and large-hole charges. Diagnostic data will be combined with entry hole diameter statistics and friction pressure calculations for the consistent-hole shaped charges in order to demonstrate how they differ from conventional shaped charges. Proppant tracer diagnostics will highlight several case studies in which consistent-hole shaped charges or other recent perforating enhancements were employed. Case studies will include extreme limited entry (XLE) designs, diversion employed systems, high-density perforating (HDP), and reduced cluster spacing (RCS) completion techniques.
