CANCELED!!!!!!!INTL - Global Challenges in Oilfield Chemistry

Operating companies are increasingly outsourcing their production chemistry functions. They also require their providers of production chemicals to deliver products and services to wherever they operate in the world. The supplier therefore has to be proficient in supplying a complete range of production chemicals to often remote locations, taking into account such factors as transportation to the point of use, local stock handling and storage, product registration, waste management, locally based production chemistry expertise, and laboratory facilities for QC and performance monitoring. The production chemicals must be confirmed to perform their functions in the areas of separation, integrity management and flow assurance, according to contractually agreed key performance indicators. Behind the provision of these products and services must lie a network of local business entities and globally-oriented manufacturing facilities. Moreover, all of these activities have to take place safely, in full compliance with the HSE regulations of the supplier, the customer and local governmental organizations.

This presentation discusses, with examples, how these challenges are met in the global environment.
