SPE GCS General Meeting Luncheon: John Gibson, Halliburton

In the wake of high-profile corporate scandals, companies today are under intense public scrutiny.  The ethical decisions we make as individuals may affect not only us personally, but also our colleagues, our companies, and our entire industry.

This presentation introduces tools and techniques for ethical decision making.  The audience will explore the limits and possibilities of individual choices, and learn to frame their dilemmas within various ethics systems.

An objective will be to work through ethical problems by examining an issue from all perspectives, weighing the effects of various choices, and making thoughtful decisions that send the right messages. Participants will gain confidence in their ability to uphold their personal integrity under pressure.  They will also learn to strengthen their organization’s ethical values.
