S&E - Recovery of Oil from Oil Based Mud Drilled Cuttings: Overview of Processes and Technology

The presentation will review a variety of technology available from various suppliers currently in use or new technologies still in development for the recovery of oil based drilling fluids from drilled cuttings to reduce the environmental impact and cost of the disposal of oil based drilled cuttings and reduce overall operating costs by recovering expensive drilling fluids.  A review of a computer model used to determine the energy requirements to recover oil by thermal desorption will also be discussed.
