High School Recruiting Fair - HISD
As part of our effort to encourage high schoolstudents to consider careers in petroleum engineering, the Gulf Coast Section is holding five recruiting fairs at schools around the greater Houston area during the week of November 15. These fairs will be open to area high school students and their parents, teachers, and counselors. Each 2-hr fair will have a 30-min program of speakers with a variety of perspectives, from recent graduates to industry leaders.
The following universities have recruited prospective college students at these fairs in the past 4 years:

Throughout the school year, SPE volunteers are available to speak to students and adults about the oil business. The goal is to increase the public’s understanding of the science and engineering involved in our industry.
