Why Data Transparency Matters to your Business

Digital transformation is the process of adjusting data practices to take advantage of new technologies and methods. Firms need to be deliberate and strategic about data management, including about the internal and external transparency of different types of data. Even as the rate of data generation in the industry is accelerating, the market pressure for improved operational efficiency demands that employees have faster access to more comprehensive internal data. A slew of new options for enabling internal data transparency are being explored, with some best practices emerging. This panel will explore some of those best practices. At the same time, operators are facing conflicting pressure both to share their data with one another for the sake of improved learning for all as well as to safeguard their data as valuable assets capable of yielding key competitive advantages. This panel will explore how leaders can navigate this pressure depending on the type of data and the situation in question.
