General Meeting: Reducing Risk and Improving OPEX by Understanding the Impact of Water Quality and Rock / Fluid interactions – Case Histories
ABSTRACT of Presentation
For all drilling, completion and production work, it is highly important to mitigate risk before introducing fluids that will disrupt the equilibrium of the reservoir. Data provided by laboratory testing about the rock, the drilling and completion fluids, and their interactions, will help reduce the potential of damage to the formation.
This presentation is the review of key aspects that should be addressed, from a laboratory perspective, to gather the knowledge that will lead to a successful, long lived producing well and field.
