Westside - Field Development Experiences in the Lobo Trend in South Texas
This presentation will describe field development strategies that have been utilized by a major operator in several fields in the Lobo trend in south Texas. These field development strategies include strategic well locations, completion techniques, and production analysis methods for multiple wells in fault blocks of differing sizes in the Lobo trend. Completion and production methods used during field development will be discussed and evaluated. In the recent field development phase, the number of wells drilled has enabled improvements to be made in completion techniques and production methods. The presentation will include a discussion of the optimization of these techniques/methods and associated economic considerations.
